(Copy to all parties required) - DO NOT SEND HEARING MATERIALS OR PROPOSED ORDERS unless you have been given instruction by the court.

 COURTMAP

NEW (1) Do NOT submit proposed orders through courtMAP unless: 1) instructed by the Court pursuant to a hearing or 2) is listed here as not requiring a hearing.

(2) Before submitting an order to the court for approval, preview the order and make sure that the judge’s signature is not alone on a page. You can reduce the font or number of lines to accomplish this. This avoids the need for the judge to reformat every order. If the order is “Agreed” or “Unopposed” submit it under “Agreed Orders,” not “Proposed Orders,” you will receive a quicker response. Thank you.

 SPECIAL SETS

2023 Special Set Calendar is now available. Please go under Special Sets and follow the direction to submit requests.

Special sets will be conducted via Zoom unless instructed by the Court if personal appearance is needed. A week prior to the hearing, you will receive an email via courtMAP containing a Zoom invitation link. Please upload the documents for the judge’s review 7 days prior to the hearing.  DO NOT EMAIL THE JA THESE DOCUMENTS.  To upload the documents: in courtmap, go to “Calendar” tab, then “View Events” and click on “Events\Supporting Documents\Add.” Doing this IS NOT the same as uploading the documents to the “Progress Docket” which then appears in "Case Events.”  EACH PARTY SHOULD UPLOAD THEIR PROPOSED ORDER TO “SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS” AFTER THE HEARING FOR THE JUDGE'S RULING.

EMERGENCY MOTIONS
**Emergency Motions must be uploaded via courtMAP once filed and must contain a statement indicating that opposing counsel has been notified in an attempt to resolve the matter in an amicable manner.

FWOP Calendars are being conducted via Zoom. Parties are required to appear regardless of filings.  Only final resolutions (dismissals, settlements) will be excused from calendar. Please email final resolutions to dbonini@jud11.flcourts.org at least 24 Hours in advance.

Parties will receive an email from courtMAP with the Zoom link one (1) week prior to the date of the hearing. If zoom link is not received, please email dbonini@jud11.flcourts.org to request link at least 24 Hours in advance.
If you do not have an email, please contact Judge del Rios' Chambers at 305-349-7078 to obtain the Zoom meeting ID or the dial in number to attend the hearing.
Video appearance is required for any and all participant.

*** A Courtesy Copy of all hearing documents and supporting caselaw shall be delivered to Judge del Rio's chambers by mail or hand-delivery to chambers for ALL special sets at least seven (7) days before the hearing to Room 800. All hearing related materials must be timely uploaded via courtMAP.***

Cancellations - Please email NOTICE OF CANCELLATION to dbonini@jud11.flcourts.org at least 24 Hours in advance. E-Filing will NOT cancel your hearing, you must send Notice to JA for the case to be removed from Calendar and provide reason for cancellation.

Motion Calendar Procedures
In order for your matter to be added to Judge del Rio's Motion Calendar, the moving party MUST:
(1) Attempt to coordinate hearing with opposing counsel.  If, despite good faith effort, the moving party is unable to obtain reasonable cooperation in scheduling the matter, the hearing may be set unilaterally at least seven (7) DAYS PRIOR TO THE HEARING .  The Court expects that any motion may be heard eleven days after its filing.
(2) File motion and Notice of Hearing with the Clerk; and
(3) Upload motion and supporting documents, if any, via courtMAP at least three (3) DAYS PRIOR TO THE HEARING.
Responses:  Parties wishing to submit a response to a matter set on Motion Calendar must file said response with the clerk's office and upload documents through courtMAP.
Cancellations:  Counsel for the party who placed the matter on calendar shall file the notice of cancellation with the Clerk of the Court.  If the case was set through courtMAP you must cancel the hearing through courtMAP as well. If you encounter any issues please email  dbonini@jud11.flcourts.org

To access Zoom directly from courtMAP, click on “join zoom meeting” on the date/time of the hearing.

Motion calendar hearings are limited to 5 minutes per case.

*Submit your supporting documents (filed motion, notice of hearing, etc.) when creating the event on courtMAP.  DO NOT create multiple events (set multiple hearings) on any one case; the system allows for two (2) motions to be set on each case.  **The Court will not hear more than one (1) motions per case per motion calendar.**

IMPORTANT: Although the movant and the parties listed on the service list will receive an email from courtMAP indicating that an event has been created, a notice of hearing will not automatically generate.  The movant MUST e-file the notice of hearing via the e-portal system.
