TIME: One hearing may be scheduled per day per case in 30-minute increments. You may schedule multiple motions in one hearing. PLEASE SCHEDULE SUFFICIENT TIME FOR YOUR HEARING (if there is a dispute choose the longer time). Hearings are held by Zoom by default except they must be in person if over two hours or evidentiary. For an in person hearing, contact Chambers to get the in person hearing notice. Hybrid hearings are available, however everyone (attorneys, parties, and witnesses) from Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Monroe, and Collier must attend in person (unless permission given).
SCHEDULING: Please use CourtMAP to schedule your hearings. Coordinate with all parties on a mutually agreeable date and time. To search for available hearing time for this division, use Scott Janowitz (CVGM03). You may use CourtMAP to cancel hearings as well, but we ask for a courtesy phone call or e-mail if the cancelled hearing is within two business days. If you have difficulty scheduling a hearing, please contact chambers.
DOCUMENT SUBMISSION: PLEASE UPLOAD ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS INCLUDING DISCOVERY RESPONSES (which are often not filed) AT LEAST TWO DAYS BEFORE THE HEARING. Documents sent to Chambers for In Camera Review are maintained in Chambers (DCC 712) for the pendency of the action. Please contact Chambers to retrieve in camera review documents. Note that a Court Order or Fla. R. Gen. Prac. & Jud. Admin. 2.505(d) stipulation of all parties may be required to retrieve the in-camera documents.
RECORDING: All hearings before the GM are electronically recorded in accordance with Administrative Order No. 22-13. Any party may also bring a private court reporter.
