ALL CALENDAR CALLS WILL GO FORWARD BY ZOOM PLATFORM. Zoom ID can be found on CourtMap for Jury Trials and CourtMap email sends one for Non-Jury Trials week before the calendar call. 

If you have upcoming trial and your case settle, please file and upload a filed copy of the Notice of Settlement to the Calendar Call or scheduled trial in CourtMap.

Any party seeking a continuance of the trial MUST file a Motion for Continuance at least 2 weeks prior to the calendar call AND SCHEDULE IT FOR HEARING to be heard prior to the Calendar Call (contact the chambers if there is no motion calendar date available prior to the calendar call, do not schedule it after the calendar call). Should the unavailability be for part of the trial docket, Motion for Continuance MUST be filed for the whole trial period as the partial continuance is not permitted. The parties must be available during all trial period as stated in the trial order. Client's consent MUST be filed with the Motion to Continue trial, pursuant to the Florida Rule of Civil Procedure.

THE COURT WILL NOT ENTERTAIN ANY MOTIONS TO CONTINUE TRIAL AT THE CALENDAR CALL. The only exception to the rule will be for valid emergency motions. Notice of Unavailability of Notice of Conflict is not sufficient to continue trial. Motion MUST be filed.

ZOOM ID IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERY EVENT and it can be found in CourtMap. For Motion Calendar and Foreclosure Calendar the zoom ID is available immediately after the hearing is scheduled therefore, please include the information in the Notice of Hearing (notice of hearing should be filed and uploaded to CourtMap after the hearing is scheduled).

ZOOM EVIDENTIARY HEARINGS INCLUDING ZOOM NON-JURY TRIALS EXHIBITS SUBMISSION:   At least five (5) business days prior to evidentiary hearing or non-jury trial (Civil or Foreclosure), all exhibits should be pre-marked for identification and shall include an index listing all proposed exhibits with the exhibit numbers or letters and filed as evidence submissions via portal. The proposed pre-marked exhibits should clearly list the submitting party. The must be filed individually (one by one) as evidence submission. NOTICE OF FILING IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THE CLERK. 


ALL MOTIONS FOR REHEARING/RECONSIDERATION MUST BE REVIEWED BY THE COURT. DO NOT SCHEDULE FOR HEARING. **Emergency Motions must be uploaded to CourtMAP once e-filed and must attach correspondence as supporting document indicating that opposing counsel has been notified in an attempt to resolve the matter in an amicable manner.**

* Proposed Order must be uploaded (separate, under proposed orders task) and call the chambers immediately. Please note that certain orders will not be signed without hearing. *Conducted on Wednesday’s at 10:15 AM (starting June 3, 2026 time changes to 9:00 AM). It is reserved for ONLY for foreclosure, condominium or quiet title cases. No foreclosure cases are to be set on the regular motion calendar. They WILL be cancelled. 

*Must give 5 Business Days’ Notice unless it is emergency.

*Motion must be filed with the Clerk’s and all supporting documents for the hearing must be uploaded on CourtMap.

* All Final Judgments are to be uploaded to CourtMap after the hearing is conducted. Please do not upload any orders or final judgments prior to the hearing.

* Parties must coordinate with one another prior to scheduling. If unable to coordinate for more than a full week you may unilaterally schedule the hearing and Notice of Hearing MUST say that the hearing was unilaterally scheduled and the reason why.
* Do not request or set a motion that has not been filed.

*Motion Calendar is only for motions that will only take a maximum/total of 5 minutes to hear. Any hearings that will take more than 5 minutes may be taken off calendar. 

*Motion's and Supporting Documents MUST be uploaded to CourtMap immediately, otherwise your motion WILL NOT be heard.

Total of 2 Motions are permitted to be scheduled for the same date (both must be coordinated, and each motion has be scheduled as separate entry).

NO ADD ON'S ARE PERMITTED without Court's approval. Contact the chambers if you need to schedule second motion and there is no space, and we will accommodate the request. All Motions MUST be coordinated.

*When you are setting the objections please file as supporting document the Motion you are objecting too and all documents needed for the Judge to prepare and use at the hearing. Up to two objections ONLY can be set on the motion calendar, if you have more than two you MUST place it on special set. The same applies to the Motions to Compel Better Answers. Any Motion that will take more than 5 minutes WILL be taken off the calendar by the Judge.

* Motion's to Dismiss Complaint must have the Complaint attached as supporting document.

*You may set the maximum of two motions per calendar with two separate entry's and not as an add on.

 *In addition to filing motion with the clerk, you must upload Motion and Notice

  to CourtMap.

 
*Refrain from submitting Binders to Chambers (unless directed by the Court);

MOTIONS TO CANCEL FORECLOSURE SALES:

All motions and notice of hearings (ONLY FOR MOTIONS TO CANCEL FORECLOSURE SALES) must be e-filed at least 3 business days before the scheduled hearing.  There are no emergencies.  Please do not wait until the last minute as you have known well in advance of the impending sale date. Plaintiff may submit an Order Cancelling Foreclosure Sale via CourtMap and the motion does not need to be scheduled for hearing.

All Non-Jury Trials will go forward by zoom unless requested in person. If is to occur by zoom exhibits are to be uploaded 5 days prior to the trial (please see the clerk's memo).

All Calendar Calls are conducted via Zoom. 

Notice of Unavailability is not sufficient to continue trials. *When submitting your proposed/agreed order, the title of the order must be typed in the title box provided by courtMAP, NOT in the body of the proposed/agreed order.

Additional Instructions

Please do not call the chambers to obtain special set hearing dates. Available dates are posted in CourtMap and updated as they become available. You may check daily. Should you have a Calendar Call coming up and Motion for Summary Judgment pending with no available specials set dates please be advised that the Court will entertain the Motion for Summary Judgment on the first day of the trial. 

IMPORTANT - When scheduling Motion for Summary Judgment, the moving party must certify in writing that ALL relevant discovery has been completed. The certification (simple pleading) must be filed via portal and filed copy attached as supporting document when scheduling the hearing in CourtMap. Without certification the Court will NOT schedule (approve) a summary judgment motion for hearing. (This policy has been implemented by the Court due to multiple last minute cancelations of hearings due to incomplete discovery.)


All Hearings noticed as zoom will be heard via zoom platform. ZOOM INVITE will be created in CourtMap a week prior to the hearing. If the opposing side is pro se, an Amended Notice of Hearing must be filed to reflect the zoom ID.

CourtMap generates the Notice of Hearing which is not sufficient however, moving party MUST file their own Notice of Hearing.

Special Set hearing is not permitted to be cancelled by only filing Notice of Cancellation with the following exceptions: the case settles, agreed order resolving a motion is submitted or motion is withdrawn. Should the hearing require rescheduling, Motion to Continue MUST be filled and if there is an agreement, agreed order may be uploaded otherwise, it must be scheduled for hearing.

Should the case settle please upload filed Notice of Settlement to CourtMap.

*Prior to Setting a Special Set, the requesting party must ensure the motion
  has been filed with the Clerk's office.  Do not set a special set hearing for a motion that has not been filed. 

DO NOT SUBMIT ANY ORDERS PRIOR TO THE HEARING. 

*When setting, DO NOT leave time gaps PLEASE, if you do so your request will be rejected!

ALL EVIDENTIARY HEARINGS MUST BE NOTICED BY THE MOVING PARTY AS EVIDENTIARY HEARING. They are set on our special set calendar.  Also, please see the memorandum regarding evidence submission for the zoom evidentiary hearings as the ALL evidence MUST be uploaded separately at least 5 days prior to the hearing. ZOOM hearings ONLY.

*Upload the motion and attachments via CourtMap event (no binders or hard copies to be mailed to the chambers unless instructed) when scheduling the hearing.  Also, ensure that ALL other supporting documents have been uploaded to CourtMap "As Soon As Possible" 

****If you have an issue of not seeing your event on the CourtMap, the Court CANNOT help you with the issue. Contact the CourtMap directly or try to find it via event by case. The Court does not accept supporting documents via email whatsoever.

*Adding a motion to a hearing which has already been set must be
  Agreed to by the opposing party AND JA contacted with the understanding that the Court
  WILL NOT add any more time for the hearing which has already been provided.  

*The moving party MUST COORDINATE a date and time with the opposing party.  DO NOT SCHEDULE your special set hearing without confirmation from the opposing party and/or to simply attempt to hold a time slot. Should the opposing party not answer within 5 business days you may contact the chambers for further instructions. 


*  All responses and replies must be uploaded to court event (CourtMap) 7 days prior to the hearing.
  Documents that’s are received past the deadline might not be accepted.

****** If you need to cancel or reset a special set hearing, please submit a motion and proposed order through CourtMAP, you are not permitted to automatically cancel or reset a special set hearing unless notice of settlement, agreed order resolving a motion or notice of withdrawal of the motion is filed in advance via CourtMap and with a clerk of the courts.
