Motion Calendar

The moving party MUST coordinate the date/time with opposing counsel based on the Court's availability (found on CourtMap).

To set a motion calendar hearing, select the date from the Court's availability (found on CourtMAP), and include the coordination in the Notice.

Submit your supporting documents (filed motion, etc.) when creating the event (setting the hearing) on CourtMAP.

Once a green "Success" message appears, the hearing has made calendar.

IMPORTANT: Although the movant and the parties listed on the service list will receive an email indicating that a hearing has been set, a notice of hearing will not automatically generate. The movant MUST e-file the notice of hearing via the e-portal system and mail it if there's no e-mail in file.

All Motions may be heard on Motion Calendar except Motions in Limine, Summary Judgment Motions, Fee Hearings, Motions to Continue Jury Trial, and Evidentiary Hearings.

Motion to Continue Trial: Motions to Continue Trial will NOT be heard at Motion calendar but rather addressed at Calendar Call. Please do not schedule on Motion Calendar as they will not be heard,

Motion for Reconsideration/Rehearing: Motions for Reconsideration/Rehearing MUST first be submitted to the Judicial Assistant by email to cgonzalez@jud11.flcourts.org before setting on calendar. Please do not schedule on Motion Calendar as they will not be heard.

Proposal for Settlements: These motions may be unilaterally set so long as the opposing party is given 7 days's notice.

To appear telephonically: A motion for telephonic appearance, along with an order must be submitted for the Court's approval via the proposed orders option on CourtMAP. All Motions for Telephonic Appearance must indicate the reason why a telephonic hearing is needed. If the reason stated is that counsel has a hearing in another courthouse, the motion shall contain the name and case number of the other case.

To confirm a hearing, click on the "docket" tab on the navigation bar and select the event date (the hearing date); the scheduled hearing will appear.

CANCELLATIONS: Must be done through CourtMAP by the moving party, and does not require approval.
Please do NOT email or fax any documents to chambers.

NOTE: Landlord\Tenant will not be heard on the motion calendar, please contact the Judicial Assistant

at (305) 252-5828 to schedule a special set.
