ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS FOR JUDGE GONZALEZ-PAULSON:
Zoom is free and available to all users. You can access the Virtual Courtroom using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Alternatively, you may use a regular phone, which will allow you to appear by phone, but will not have video capabilities. Please note: Any person who intends to testify MUST appear via video. This allows the Judge to administer the oath
For ALL hearings, please arrive in the Virtual Courtroom at least 5 minutes before your scheduled hearing time. Additionally, counsel setting the hearing must include the appropriate Zoom link for the hearing on the Notice of Hearing. Failure to do so may result in your hearing being canceled and having to be reset.
Motion Calendar: All motion calendars will continue to go forward via Zoom.
Special Set Hearings 30 minutes or less shall be via ZOOM.
Special Set Hearings more than 30 minutes: If a party notices a Special Set Hearing to be heard via Zoom, the party must certify on the notice that both parties agree for the matter to be heard via ZOOM.
ALL IN PERSON SPECIAL SETS NEED TO BE SCHEDULED WITH THE JA.
FWOP's WILL BE VIA ZOOM this division will proceed as follows: If your case is set for FWOP you need to file your Affidavit of Good Cause 5 DAYS PRIOR TO THE HEARING. If you fail to file the Affidavit, an Order will be entered Dismissing the Case.
PRETRIALS ARE HELD IN PERSON.
Evidentiary Hearings and Non-Jury Trials are presumptively IN PERSON/LIVE unless otherwise noticed.

The moving party MUST coordinate the date/time with opposing counsel based on the Court's availability (found on CourtMap).
To set a motion calendar hearing, select the date from the Court's availability (found on CourtMAP), and include the coordination in the Notice.
ANY NOTICES SENT TO PRO-SE LITIGANTS SHALL BE MAILED VIA US MAIL IF NO EMAIL PROVIDED IN THE SERVICE LIST, AND IT SHOULD INCLUDE ZOOM INFORMATION.
Submit your supporting documents (filed motion, etc.) when creating the event (setting the hearing) on CourtMAP.
Once a green "Success" message appears, the hearing has made calendar.
IMPORTANT: This Division only permits the setting of 2 motions per office and day.
Although the movant and the parties listed on the service list will receive an email indicating that a hearing has been set, a notice of hearing will not automatically generate. The movant MUST e-file the notice of hearing via the e-portal system and mail it if there's no e-mail in file.
All Motions may be heard on Motion Calendar except Motions in Limine, Summary Judgment Motions, Fee Hearings, Evictions, Motions to Continue Jury Trial, and Evidentiary Hearings.
Motion to Continue Trial: Motions to Continue Trial will NOT be heard at Motion calendar but rather addressed at Calendar Call. Please do not schedule on Motion Calendar as they will not be heard,
Motion for Reconsideration/Rehearing: Motions for Reconsideration/Rehearing MUST first be submitted to the Judicial Assistant by email to cgonzalez@jud11.flcourts.org before setting on calendar. Please do not schedule on Motion Calendar as they will not be heard.
Proposal for Settlements: These motions may be unilaterally set so long as the opposing party is given 7 days's notice.
To appear telephonically: A motion for telephonic appearance, along with an order must be submitted for the Court's approval via the proposed orders option on CourtMAP. All Motions for Telephonic Appearance must indicate the reason why a telephonic hearing is needed. If the reason stated is that counsel has a hearing in another courthouse, the motion shall contain the name and case number of the other case.
To confirm a hearing, click on the "docket" tab on the navigation bar and select the event date (the hearing date); the scheduled hearing will appear.
CANCELLATIONS: Must be done through CourtMAP by the moving party, and does not require approval. Please do NOT email or fax any documents to chambers.
IMPORTANT: In the event parties are unable to coordinate any non-dispositive and non-evidentiary hearing, deposition, or motion within a reasonable period of time (not less than 72 hours) and after 3 documented attempts, the moving party shall unilaterally set the issue for hearing pursuant to divisional instructions to occur no less than 14 days and no more than 45 days after the third attempt.

If any listed prohibited item is detected to be in your possession when entering a court facility, you will be asked to exit the facility to secure the item elsewhere or dispose of it, before being allowed entry into the facility.
