To set a case on a five (5) minute motion, the Motion and the Notice of Hearing, with seven days notice, must be electronically filed or filed with the Clerk's office at L.E.T. Courthouse Center, 175 N.W. 1st Ave., 12th Floor.  The attorney's should coordinate & select the Tuesday they wish to have the motion heard.  

Self-Represented Litigants:  Must go through the Self-Help Program (Rm 2441) prior to Filing. Courtesy copies should be delivered to the Judge's Chambers upon filing of the original Notice of Hearing.

Courtesy copies may be submitted to the Judge’s chambers upon filing the motion and notice of hearing.

Cancellations: Counsel who scheduled the hearing shall file with the Clerk a Notice of Cancellation and Fax a copy to Chambers (305) 349-5573 and as well to notify the opposing side of the cancellation.

Telephonic Appearances: Are permitted however, You Must call Court Call at (888)-882-6878 to set up your telephonic appearances at least 3 days in advance.

The Setting Party MUST coordinate with the Opposing Party to ensure that they are available for the selected hearing date.  Do not file or send out a Notice of Hearing if this has not been done.  You can make a conference call to chambers with the opposing party on the phone to schedule the Motion.  Either the Judicial Assistant or the Bailiff can set it.  Only (1) motion per case can be set on the Motion Calendar.  Multiple, Cross-Motions and or "Piggy Back, will not be heard.
